"Actinide XAS" is a series of unique international workshops, which focus on the basic- and applied research of radioactive materials using synchrotron-based techniques.

This workshop has been held in France (1^st, 2^nd, and 5^th), USA (3^rd), and Germany (4^th), since the 1^st workshop in 1996. Then the workshop comes to Japan for the first time. It will be held at SPring-8, Lecture Hall.
